Company Summary:

Our client has been established to develop and conduct quality medical education programs for physicians and other health care professionals.

Description:

Experienced medical editor needed in the Scientific Publications Department of a medical communications company.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Copyediting manuscripts for journal supplements, monographs, newsletters, and other scientific publications
• Proofreading layouts of publication materials, including galleys
• Verifying scientific accuracy of publications by data checking information against original source
• Editing and formatting slide presentations
• Proofreading all external correspondence to ensure flawless execution

Minimum qualifications and skills required include:

• Bachelor’s degree in English or related field
• Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint; EndNote experience a plus
• The ideal candidate for this position will have at least 2 years of professional editing experience, preferably in medical communications.
• Exceptional written communication skills
• Accuracy, attention to detail, and a high level of planning and organization are critical requirements of the position, as is the ability to multitask.
• Applicants must be team-oriented and able to work well with others.
