Description:
Experienced medical editor needed in the Scientific Publications Department of a medical communications company.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Copyediting manuscripts for journal supplements, monographs, newsletters, and other scientific publications
- Proofreading layouts of publication materials, including galleys
- Verifying scientific accuracy of publications by data checking information against original source
- Editing and formatting slide presentations
- Proofreading all external correspondence to ensure flawless execution
- Bachelor’s degree in English or related field
- Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint; EndNote experience a plus
- The ideal candidate for this position will have at least 2 years of professional editing experience, preferably in medical communications.
- Exceptional written communication skills
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and a high level of planning and organization are critical requirements of the position, as is the ability to multitask.
