Description:
Position Summary:
Responsible for high-level content and faculty development. Able to work across a wide spectrum of therapeutic areas, interact with key opinion leaders and direct editorial staff in content development.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Research medical literature
- Create program concepts and outlines for promotional medical education projects
- Original writing manuscripts, slide kits, etc
- Editing and rewriting of outsourced to freelance writers
- Assist Account Services with new business development by preparing product profiles, assessing potential physician education projects, and targeting potential new therapeutic areas
- Participate in new business pitches as required
- Interact with key opinion leaders in a broad range of specialty and general areas of medicine
- Interact with clients regarding content issues
- Collaborate with other agency staff to endure that programs are implemented on time, on budgets and to client expectations
- Manage and develop team members
- Excellent writing (text), slide development and verbal presentation skills
- Works effectively in a team-based environment
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet
- MD, PhD, PharmD or other advanced degree in life sciences
- 2+ years experience in medial writing, clinical/preclinical research, drug information or medical publishing
- Medical Communications agency experience preferred
