Description:
The senior program director will manage medical education plans for multiple brands from strategic concept development through staffing and quality control of deliverable(s), while simultaneously monitoring overall brand’s financial status. He or she will leverage scientific acumen and tactical experience to drive organic growth for multiple brands from strategic concept development through staffing and quality control of deliverable(s). The senior PD will manage account teams of PDs/associate PDs/assistant PDs to drive development and execution of multiple account initiatives, serving as a main client contact, as well as manage administration for direct reports
Responsibility
Professional
- Provides senior team leader with managerial account updates and fiscal status
- Responsible for managing the development of direct reports
- Participates in identifying resources building agency dynamics
- Develops management skills and gains exposure to building team dynamics
- Manages the development and production of account assigned communication tactics, either independently or as supervisor of account team
- Articulate and defend POA for tactical recommendations
- Manages and advances client relationship, by serving as account key contact utilizing knowledge of scientific, clinical, and commercial underpinnings for multiple brands, their competitors, and landscape
- Works with senior management for the creation of annual brand tactical plan and financial estimates
- Gains experience in managing the multiple brand accounts and revenue growth
- Develops/updates and presents annual brand plans to clients
- Identifies medical education opportunities and drives organic growth through life cycle of brand
- Daily management of at least one (1) support account members (Assistant/Associate PD/PD)
- Supports senior management in new business acquisition revenue growth
- Quarterly and fiscal responsibility for brand revenues
- Understands and upholds company’s mission and values
- Assumes mastery of objectives, milestones and responsibilities of PD
- Consistent financial growth
- Identify and capitalize on external environmental opportunities for new business acquisition growth
- Estimated time required in position to achieve skills to advance 18-24 months
Professional/Business
- Working and operational knowledge of MS Office, Timepiece, and VisualElk (CRM software)
- Possess excellent communication (written and oral), analytical, interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Highly organized, ability to manages time and prioritize tasks
- Passion for excellence - extremely detailed oriented
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Experience in medical communication agency for 4-6 years; experience in applicable disease state a plus
- Willingness to travel
Degree in life science or degree liberal arts, marketing or communications with a strong appreciation for medical science writing and interest in pharmaceutical marketing
