Position Summary:
The Director, New Business Development is accountable for all responsibilities related to new business development in support of the promotional med ed division’s goals
Duties & Responsibilities:
- New business development of promotional medical education opportunities
- Organic growth of existing accounts
- Develops annual sales and business development strategies and implementation plan
- Coordinated program implementation with account teams
- Develops/delivers comprehensive capabilities presentations
- 5+ years with a medical communications agency
- 2+ years in new business development
- Demonstrated understanding of medical education and pharmaceutical industry programming
- Knows market trends, the needs of the target audience, relevant disease state guidelines, and emerging new drugs in the category
- Demonstrated ability to grow and develop business relationships
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Strong team leader and motivator

- Advanced degree in business administration and/or life sciences preferred
