Description:
Overview
The Account Executive reports to the President. Duties include strategic account management of assigned accounts; development of new business opportunities associated with assigned accounts; coordination with clients to ensure complete and efficient fulfillment of all account and/or client needs and objectives; interaction with clinical experts to fulfill account objectives; and coordination with project managers and internal departments.
Responsibilities
- Work with President and other Company Executives to maintain accounts and develop long-term management strategies for each account assigned
- Development of accounts encompassing all aspects of program/project development through thorough knowledge of pharmaceutical market issues, company and project overall strategic objectives
- Develop strong relationships with key client contacts and obtain regular feedback
- Review projects for scientific accuracy, therapeutic relevance and key marketing messages in conjunction with medical writers
- Revise all budgets and schedules prior to company approval
- Assess the scope of all assigned projects and identify the range and depth of support necessary for achieving account and project objectives
- Direct project teams on all aspects of project briefing, planning, scheduling, budgets and resources.
- Ensure the strategic medical/marketing development of all projects
- Ensure final sign-off on all projects before they go to client and or to print
- Update President at regular intervals regarding project status and client relationship
- Position requirements include the following:
- A four-year degree in a medical, science or business field
- A minimum of five years of relevant work experience in the medical and/or pharmaceutical field, with at least two years in account executive role
- Experience of pharmaceutical strategic marketing programs
- Previous experience in working with clients in the pharmaceutical industry and with clinical experts
- Ability to work closely in a team environment
