Our client has been established to develop and conduct quality medical education programs for physicians and other health care professionals.

Description:

Primary responsibilities include:

• Copy editing manuscripts for journal supplements, monographs, newsletters, and other scientific publications
• Proofreading layouts of publication materials, including galleys
• Verifying scientific accuracy of publications by data checking information against original source
• Editing and formatting slide presentations
• Proofreading all external correspondence to ensure flawless execution

Minimum qualifications and skills required include:

• Accuracy, attention to detail, excellent written and oral communication skills, and a high level of planning and organization are critical requirements of the position, as is the ability to multitask.
• A bachelor’s degree in English or a related field is required.
• The ideal candidate for this position will have at least 2 years of professional editing experience, preferably in medical communications.
• Applicants must be team-oriented and able to work well with others.

• Written Communication Skills: ability to memorize and transition between multiple style guides; constantly adapts to changing medical terminology and CME regulations and requirements

Job Qualifications and Necessary Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in English or related field
• Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint; EndNote experience a plus
• 2+ years of professional editorial experience
• Technical editing background preferred
• Exceptional written communication skills
