Description:
Primary responsibilities include:
- Responsible for the development of content for enduring materials, slide sets, and manuscripts
- Travels to scientific meetings to gather data for planned or potential publications
- Assists Educational Program Services (EPS) in the development of agendas for scientific meetings and provides executive summaries following meetings
- Provides input for the development of scientifically accurate graphic concepts for meetings and programs
- Scans scientific and medical literature regularly and disseminates all relevant study results to EPS
- Communicates with thought leaders to ensure accuracy and quality of content in scientific project
- Written Communication Skills: Ability to concisely and accurately communicate scientific information to a variety of audiences; constantly adapts to changing clinical data and CME regulations and requirements
- Attention to Detail: produces accurate work, even when under pressure; checks the accuracy of information before using it or passing it on to others
- Priority Setting: able to efficiently prioritize multiple tasks and provide effective direction to others; can quickly evaluate the resources necessary to accomplish a goal and put those into action
- Organizational Skills: extremely organized and efficient; can respond to rapidly shifting priorities and maintain accuracy across multiple tasks
- MD, PharmD, or PhD in biological sciences
- Proficient with Windows, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and EndNote
- 1-2 years of medical writing experience
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
