Description:
Our client is looking for a high initiative results-driven Senior Manager to oversee its Key Accounts team. We are looking for someone with 3-5 years of sales/marketing experience, preferably in a health care related field (pharma, bio-tech, etc.). This individual must possess a Bachelors degree (Advanced degree preferred) with a minimum of 2 years hands-on management experience including proven results of managing and developing a team. A proven ability to interface with clients, drive projects and meet aggressive deadlines is a must. This position will include 60%+ travel.
Job Summary:
Responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the key account department.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Manages and oversees the key account management department budget.
- Reviews and approves the reporting of monthly revenue numbers and forecasts.
- Oversees the hiring, management, and development of Key Account Management Staff
- Represents Key Account Management in corporate, client and industry meetings as needed
- Estimates and negotiates contracts with new and existing clients where necessary
- Oversees vendor contracting as it pertains to Key Account Management
- Thinks proactively and makes recommendations and decisions independently on project parameters
- Serves as back up to direct reports as needed
- Follows applicable SOPs
- Develops Key Account Managers negotiating, consulting and selling skills
- Creates and implements annual business plan for targeted business growth
- Communicates project details and SOW to operational teams
- Oversees and ensures all project deliverables are met
- Work with Business Development on strategic sales plan and project implementations
- Assumes other responsibilities as determined
Education
- Required:
- BS/BA degree
- Preferred:
- Advanced degree or coursework in management
- Required:
- Minimum 7-10 years management experience, project management experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Accurate typing and data entry skills.
- Must have good customer service etiquette (telephone and face-to-face) and overall professional appearance.
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively (both written and verbal communication) with direct reports, coworkers, managers, vendors and clients.
- Excellent planning and organization skills to handle multiple priorities.
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- Some travel required.
