Description:
Our client is seeking a strong leader who is energetic, self-starting, and innovative to serve as the CME Director.
In this integral role, responsibilities will include:
- Ensure that the guidelines set forth by the ACCME, ACPE, ANCC, ASCP and IACET are adhered to during the development and implementation of continuing education activities
- Act as the accreditation liaison throughout the planning and implementation of educational activities with team members, faculty, and grantors.
- Serve as an internal consultant to all levels of the company related to the regulatory framework that governs industry involvement in scientific and educational activities.
- Demonstrable leadership skills and the ability to grow a profitable enterprise
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Graduate Degree or advanced studies in healthcare or business preferred
- 5+ years healthcare sector continuing education and communication
- Thorough knowledge of regulatory framework including accreditation regulations (ACCME, ANCC, ACPE, CDR, and others), FDA regulations pertaining to industry involvement in scientific and educational activities, professional codes of ethics such as AMA and PhRMA
- Pharmaceutical and biotech industry knowledge including phases of product development and role of education throughout product life cycle
- Active in industry associations
- Thorough knowledge of the principles of compliance in the pharmaceutical industry
- Strong communication skills
- Educational theory and outcome assessments.
