Overview
The Account Executive is critical to a strong client relationship and project oversight. This critical to the success of the agency in that it has great impact on client satisfactions, quality, schedule, cost, and profit.
The Account Executive touches all aspects of the client relationship, guiding high-quality work through the process while building client confidence. They work closely with all of the key people at the agency. They are relied upon by senior leaders as the consistent, focused team member who knows what is going on within their accounts.
Duties and roles
- Collaborate creatively with creative director, traffic manager, content team, and production to coordinate agency efforts on behalf of assigned accounts.
- Drive communications with client and manage the relationship closely. Keep team members in the loop and clients on track by managing your business.
- Drive revenue by preparing client proposals, budgets, and invoices. Help close deals.
- Drive profit by assuring that projects remain on time and on budget.
- Be an expert by remaining apprised of clients’ brands, products, services, and marketing developments.
- Control quality by approving creative, production materials, copy, layouts, and production art, and coordinate client approval of same.
- Be the go-to person for the client and the agency by owning the client relationship and managing program activities.
- Experience as and account service, customer service, project or traffic team member
- Ad agency experience, CME experience, or internal marketing department background
- Knowledge of ad agency process and workflow from having been imbedded in a work flow related role.
- Undergraduate degree
