The Project Manager works as part of a Project Team led by an Account Manager and has heavy involvement in developing and executing marketing/medical communications programs, such as advisory board meetings, speaker training meetings, web conferences, publication planning and slide kit development. The ideal candidate will manage project tasks from program inception through delivery, and will play a key role in assuring that clients’ expectations are met in terms of project quality and on-time delivery, within budget.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Project managing all aspects of marketing/communications programs including the creation and implementation of timelines, budgets, logistical coordination, and production of marketing/communications materials
- Ensure project delivery to agreed specification on time and within budget
- Responsible for project progress through liaison with thought leaders and other company personnel as well as calling regular project team meetings, agenda development, and accurate action reports
- Collaborate with the Medical, Editorial, Creative, Production, Meeting Services, and Field Services Teams
- Liaise with client Regulatory groups to ensure FDA acceptance of materials
- Provide briefing and direction to support personnel on allocated projects
- Review projects for quality assurance and high standards in conjunction with projects editors
- Communicate with key opinion leaders and other external experts
- Regularly provide feedback to account manager about financial status of projects and work closely with assigned financial manager
- Ensure final sign-off on projects before they go to client and or to print
- Coordinate final project reconciliation with finance manager
- Participate in brainstorming meetings to develop ideas for programs
- Data entry, document production, mailing and additional administrative responsibilities as required
- Bachelor’s Degree; or comination of education, training, and experience
- 3+ years related medical communications experience; including advisory board meetings, speaker training meetings, web conferences, publication planning and slide kit development
- Must have project management experience
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
