Description:
Our client is searching for a Controller to direct our accounting functions. This is an excellent opportunity in our rapidly expanding Company. The Controller will report directly to the company principals and will lead and direct the work of others on the finance team.
Responsibilities include:
- Overall responsibility for directing the company’s accounting functions. These functions include establishing and maintaining the organization’s accounting principles, practices, procedures, initiatives and cost control systems.
- Must be able to prepare and present financial data in accordance with standard accounting methods including both GAAP and proportional performance models, including footnote disclosures.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks.
- Guides finance employees to ensure compliance with business practices, accounting and financial reporting laws, regulations, and procedures.
- Manage the implementation of new accounting software and revenue recognition system.
- Bachelors degree in finance, accounting or related field required
- 10+ years of direct experience in the field. CPA preferred.
- Accounting experience in the medical education/advertising agency field a plus.
- Public accounting experience a plus.
- Proficiency with PC (QuickBooks Pro, Excel, Word)
- Ability to meet financial reporting deadlines
