Role(s):
This position is responsible for simultaneously managing all day-to-day aspects and implementation of projects (actual number dependent on type of project) from inception to completion. A Project Manager is responsible for projects for one or more client, multiple therapeutic areas, and/or drug indications.
Key responsibilities include:
- The facilitation of multidisciplinary project teams, interfacing with Client and internal teams
- Establishing and developing strong Client relationships
- Meeting Client expectations and working to establish mutually attainable objectives
- Working within project timelines and budgets, proactively managing potential issues, and developing/implementing change orders as necessary
- "Leader/advocate" for the Client and project within internal organization
- Consistent communication internally and externally to facilitate Client satisfaction and project execution
- Strong communication skills, ability to maintain and manage professional written and verbal communications internally and with Clients
- Successfully drive the development and execution of multiple programs for one or more Clients, with minimal oversight/involvement from VP/Senior Director Account Management
- Effectively delegate project tasks to APM and oversee implementation, contributing to personal development of both parties
- Ensure Client expectations are met on all levels of program activity
- Establish and maintain a strong knowledge of Client organizations, products, therapeutic areas, brand strategies, and regulatory environment
- Manage project budgets and reconciliation of individual projects
- Travel to Client meetings and Client programs as needed
- Schedule and conduct start-up, interim, and final team meetings for each project; establish and maintain time and events schedules; and provide ongoing updates to Client and internal teams as required to ensure successful management and completion of tactics
- Manage progress of multidisciplinary project teams to ensure within-budget, on time, and on strategy performance
- Oversee and facilitate development of all project activities, including timeline management, faculty recruitment, training, and ongoing communications; audience generation; registration/participant communication; content development timing, logistics management, production of materials, supplier performance, and financial management
- Assist in training new account team members as required
- Adhere to all policies and procedures
- A bachelor’s degree is required. An advanced degree in science or business is preferred.
- Three to five years relevant job experience in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and/or healthcare sales/marketing/agency environment.
- The ability to grasp and retain scientific information is required. Computer proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet) is mandatory.
