Description:
Position Summary
The CME Coordinator’s roles and responsibilities include:
- Provide support to the CME Manager
- Assist CME Manager with updating and maintaining the Policy and Procedures Manual as well as preparing and procuring ACCME required data and documentation for eligibility and certification requirements, and collateral notebooks
- Review and update commercial interest grant office contact information and grant application process database/notebooks
- Assist CME Manager in submission of grant proposals and preparation of required documentation, including entering budgets in appropriate grant office templates
- Assist in final closeout of CME jobs and reconciliation of budgets
- Review participant rosters and furnish copies to providers; prepare post-activity evaluation/participant summaries, outcomes measurements, and educational/recruitment materials to submit to grant offices/associations, faculty, and educational partners; prepare post-activity letters and coordinate archiving with archivist
- Maintain various spreadsheets on CME activities and educational partners
- Enter and maintain Continuing Professional Development Department (CPDD) data in proprietary databases
- Design and develop forms for CPDD
- Provide additional support to teams as necessary
- Perform other job-related tasks as assigned
The minimum competencies required for job performance include:
- Basic knowledge and understanding of ACCME, AMA, and OIG guidelines preferred but required within 90 days of employment necessary
- Excellent oral and written communication skills optimal
- Minimum of bachelor’s degree in health sciences or education, or equivalent professional experience, required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software package necessary
- Cross-functional teaming skills important
- Strong multitasking and time management skills plus ability to meet strict deadlines essential
- Work well under pressure and possess effective problem-solving skills necessary
