Position Description:
Our client is currently seeking a Director for their Clinical Programs department. The Director, Clinical Programs, will play a pivotal role in the development of live, print, and new media continuing education programs designed for physicians, pharmacists, nurses, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professional audiences. Specifically, this individual will work closely with a team of content developers, account managers, and editors to prepare and provide strategic direction for manuscripts, abstracts, posters, slide presentations, review articles, as well as educational websites and CD-ROMs. The Director, Clinical Programs, will also work closely with the Senior Vice President in supervising clinical staff, and participating in new business presentations, proposals, and pitches.

Required or desired credentials or experience of applicants:

• This position requires someone who is detail oriented, and able to multitask and prioritize work, manage deadlines, and work effectively on a team.
• Specific qualifications include:
  • Advanced degree in a scientific or clinical field
  • 3+ years of experience working for a pharmaceutical manufacturer or 3+ medical education/communications agency
  • Expertise in oncology and/or infectious diseases is preferred
