Description:

SUMMARY
Manages and directs the development of medical education/communication projects (preclinical, clinical and review manuscripts for publication, monographs, dossiers, slide lecture presentations, sales aids). Serves as medical expert in writing, editing and review of projects; verifies the medical/scientific accuracy and validity of project content.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participate in development and execution of medical communications projects for multiple therapeutic areas
• Develop, track and maintain timelines for medical communications projects to ensure on-time deliverables
• Develop and maintain an effective relationship with healthcare clients scientific investigators and key opinion leaders
• Serve as liaison to pharmaceutical clients; facilitate and oversee reviews and approval process for all projects
• Verify accuracy of content and supporting references, and ensure scientific appropriateness of presentation materials
• Facilitate and manage the internal review and approval process of projects
• Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• MD, PhD, PharmD, MSc or MPH preferred
• 2 - 4 years medical research experience and 2 - 4 years medical/communication agency experience
• Strategic thinker with strong presentation skills and content knowledge
• Supervisory experience desired
• Ability to handle multiple assignments with tight deadlines
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
