Description:
SUMMARY
Manages and directs the development of medical education/communication projects (preclinical, clinical and review manuscripts for publication, monographs, dossiers, slide lecture presentations, sales aids). Serves as medical expert in writing, editing and review of projects; verifies the medical/scientific accuracy and validity of project content.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in development and execution of medical communications projects for multiple therapeutic areas
- Develop, track and maintain timelines for medical communications projects to ensure on-time deliverables
- Develop and maintain an effective relationship with healthcare clients scientific investigators and key opinion leaders
- Serve as liaison to pharmaceutical clients; facilitate and oversee reviews and approval process for all projects
- Verify accuracy of content and supporting references, and ensure scientific appropriateness of presentation materials
- Facilitate and manage the internal review and approval process of projects
- Other duties as assigned
- MD, PhD, PharmD, MSc or MPH preferred
- 2 - 4 years medical research experience and 2 - 4 years medical/communication agency experience
- Strategic thinker with strong presentation skills and content knowledge
- Supervisory experience desired
- Ability to handle multiple assignments with tight deadlines
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
