About Position
The Marketing Associate works under the direction of a Marketing Manager or Director to complete assigned tasks relating to the development of strategic marketing initiatives for clients. The types of activities a Marketing Associate might be assigned include background research on a new client/brand, competitive analysis, environmental analysis, etc. The Marketing Associate may also be assigned smaller scope client projects to complete independently. Our client is actively searching for an organized, self motivated, positive, proactive individual to join the team as a Marketing Associate. The Marketing Associate will assist the company by providing the following support:
Key Responsibilities
- Marketing project plan management, including timeline and budget management
- Keep multiple stakeholders (brand, other vendors, internal team) aligned and abreast of project work
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis on various aspects of client needs (market, customer, competitive landscape)
- Awareness of the most critical aspects/attributes of the clients’ product and the competition (does not need to have a deep therapeutic or medical knowledge base)
- Ability to identify the most critical information from unimportant/superfluous, identifying key insights from data
- Understand when to seek support from the broader team to identify appropriate recommendations
- Ask detailed questions prior to beginning a project to ensure the full scope is completely outlined, understood and in sync with the clients and expectations
- Constantly pursue additional information and sources to help address an issue
- Proactively identify potential risks and downside scenarios and put plans in place to mitigate
Skills and Qualifications
- Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- 2+ years marketing/brand team experience (healthcare preferred but not required)
- Is familiar with the marketing organization and understands key marketing terminology, concepts and process
- Ability to work along side, manage and/or direct other vendors
- High level of customer service (internal and external clients)
- Strong organizational skills along with excellent oral and written communication ability
- Effective research, problem solving and conceptual skills
- Ability to "roll-up" sleeves in a fast-growth entrepreneurial environment to service clients
- Ability to multi-task and thrive under pressure
- Must be detail oriented and highly accurate
- Thrives while working in a team environment
- Ability to take ownership and prioritize projects
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
