About Position
The Account Manager is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key clients. Our client develops new and innovative marketing initiatives, grass roots and educational programs, and strategic meetings. It is extremely important that the Account Manager work to establish a clear set of goals and objectives with the client prior to downloading this project or program to the rest of the team. The Account Manager must act as a leader for the team and a liaison between the client and the internal team. The Account Manager works to maximize business within established accounts and generate new business proposals.
The Account Manager works with a team of Program Managers to proactively recommend options for clients regarding budget and strategic planning solutions. The role of the Account Manager is to provide consistency for an account, when there may be multiple Program Managers and Program Coordinators. The Account Manager is seen as an extension of the brand team.
Our client is actively searching for an organized, self motivated, positive, proactive individual to join the team as an Account Manager. The Account Manager will assist the company by providing the following support:
Key Responsibilities
- Drive strategic partnerships with key clients
- Serve as primary point of contact for assigned clients
- Ensure that strategic and tactical client goals are met and exceeded
- Lead the project team by creating project plans and ensuring deadlines are met
- Maximize volume of business within account
- Comfortably articulate/sell all capabilities
- Generate new business proposals
- Initiate and participate in client brainstorming sessions and proactively recommend options for clients based on budget, need, etc.
- Initiate and lead strategic meetings with top level clients
- Maximize client interactions at all levels
- Travel on-site to meetings as needed
- Prepare weekly communication outlining your business plan and project status

- Ability to take ownership and prioritize projects
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to lift 25 - 30 lbs
Education and Experience
- Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field
- 5+ years of industry or position experience
- Healthcare/ Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences preferred
- Team leadership and project management experience required
- PMI certification preferred but not required
