Description:

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
To optimize and align the IT development process with corporate strategy.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Be responsible for the implementation of specific business system plans and maintaining the specific system functionality across all platforms.
• Build a talent pool of highly-sought after professionals. Provide them with the necessary resources, including proper leadership, to motivate them to success.
• Gather business requirements to ensure that assigned jobs are completed on time and meet the specific needs of end users.
• Prepare and distribute project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks to management and stakeholder team.
• Design and build automated processes to improve efficiencies across the organization. Drive the development of standard architectures and designs.
• Adhere to deadlines and budgets, and ensure the assigned development projects are completed in a controlled manner with a high standard of quality.
• Manage the overall relationship with external system providers. Communicate issues of performance, enhancement requests, and service/support required to meet company objectives. Project manage outsourced system development initiatives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related field
• Broad experience in understanding business activities, including sales, marketing, finance, project operations.
• Five or more years general programming experience
• Experience developing data driven web applications particularly using .Net, Cold Fusion and SQL Server. Other such platforms as JSP, ASP, PHP, Ruby and MySQL or Oracle are acceptable.
• Experience using SQL Server utilities such as Enterprise Manager and Query Analyzer or related database management software.
• Knowledge of relational databases and data modeling.
• Supervisory experience

SKILLS

• Strong project management skills, with experience in organizing, planning, and executing large-scale projects from vision through implementation.
• Strong database & application analysis, design and programming skills.
• Strong teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and in writing). Ability to clearly communicate goals and directives to both employees and clients. Ability to lead in presentations.
• Good analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions.
• Ability to lead dynamically and energize multidiscipline work teams to learn and apply new skills and techniques to respond to business needs.
• Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task.
