Description:
Our client is looking for talented art director/designer with experience in both print and web media.
Responsibilities
- Develops and presents concepts, graphics, and design ideas, participates in creative brainstorming
- Creates or uses existing artwork to compose initial print or interactive layouts for all elements of assigned accounts
- Oversees work and revisions made by studio or outside vendors, makes layout decisions when needed
- Works closely with production to ensure high quality final outcome
- Sets up realistic timelines for projects, responsible for meeting the deadlines
- Provides necessary information for production, oversees production process form creative standpoint to ensure quality of the final product
- Responsible for hiring of freelance artists, illustrators, photographers, designers
- Conducts research and purchases art when needed
- Manages accounts independently on a day-to-day basis, works with account and scientific services, advises supervisor of conflicts, issues and general work load
- Responsible for the execution of all projects assigned, maintaining design excellence, timing, and cost-efficiency
- Keeps up-to-date with the knowledge of new versions of software
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a graphic designer/art director, healthcare and medical education background preferred
- Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, QuarkXPress, Macromedia Flash, HTML, knowledge of Adobe AfterEffects welcome
- Typography skills, ability to create detailed illustrations
- Expertise in print and interactive fields
- Proven ability to deliver successful designs based on clients requirements, while meeting the budget constraints and deadlines
- Excellent management and production skills
- Ability to work on Mac and PC
