Description:
Overall the Senior Account Executive is responsible for the leadership and ownership of assigned accounts including servicing of assigned accounts so as to build strong lasting client/agency relationships profitably. The Senior Account Executive assumes a leadership role in the development of marketing strategy to grow client’s business and agency revenues and maintains a comprehensive knowledge of assigned accounts and their competitors business, products, technology, market, and culture. They work with the Senior Manager to develop and write plans. In addition, the Senior Account Executive has ultimate team, campaign execution and profit responsibility.
- Understand clients marketing objectives and strategic direction to provide sound and responsible communication planning and counseling to both internal and client teams
- Represents agency POV to client
- Directs execution and provides team leadership to ensure Creative, Account and Production are fully informed and focused.
- Supervises the daily activities of assigned accounts, staying involved in projects and with the team to ensure the strategic and production quality of deliverables
- Supervises project and monitors and manages campaign financial profitability
- Tracks, analyzes and reports on competitive activity, promotions, media expenditures, copy points
- Runs and develops schedules, timelines and assignment of duties related to ongoing account planning
- Develops and writes communication objectives, messages and tactics for account planning
- Proactive identification of market, company or client/agency issues which may affect the business or branding strategies
- Establish client SOP’s
- Supervises, trains, motivates, and provides opportunities for assigned AEs to assume greater responsibilities
- Client interaction and retention including development of relationships, problem solving and strategically/tactically adding value
- Understand client business by reading, researching all client related materials
- Internal reporting of client and project status
- Keeps senior manager fully informed of account activity, opportunities and challenges as brings them in as needed
- Management of agency resources appropriate to objectives, budgets and needs
- Potential role with new business and other client campaign development
- Minimum 3 years Agency and 5 years medical marketing/communications experience.
- Proven track record of building and sustaining strong client relationships
- Demonstrated ability to solve client challenges
- Ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously
- Experience in medical devices and diagnostics a plus, but not essential if you are good on a learning curve
