Role(s):
The Account Manager, Creative Services is responsible for ensuring all creative initiatives remain on target and within agreed upon budgetary parameters. This will be accomplished through the tracking, analyzing and monitoring of budgets for all creative projects ensuring resource optimization from inception to completion.
In order to perform these functions, the Project Manager must have strong verbal and written communication skills. He/she must also be highly organized, have experience interacting with multidisciplinary teams, be adept at multitasking and prioritizing activities, have strong financial management skills, and be able/eager to motivate others.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement innovative methods (database) to track, analyze and monitor budgets for all creative projects taking action to ensure resource optimization from budget development through project reconciliation.
- Works closely with the Director, Creative Services, creative team and Copy Editing Manager to develop budgets and timelines aligned to both client expectations and the goals of the business.
- Initiate, coordinate and lead routine internal meetings and communications between creative team, CE personnel and account management teams to discuss project status, ensuring alignment to budgeted hours, project specifications, timelines and quality of work.
- Conducts weekly status meetings to discuss time tracking database with Director, Creative Services, creative team and Copy Editing Manager.
- Serves as liaison between account management teams and Director, Creative Services, creative team and Copy Editing Manager to ensure the documented change of scope on all projects on a day-to-day basis.
- Works with Director, Creative Services, creative team and Copy Editing Manager to ensure organization-wide compliance to all creative department processes and procedures.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures.
- A bachelor’s degree is required.
- Minimum of 7+ years experience in project management and/or trafficking within an advertising agency, medical communications or medical marketing setting is required.
- Demonstrate experience in project management and timeline creation and maintenance.
- Demonstrate ability to comprehend and understand a variety of production and creative processes.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments simultaneously, excel in a fast-paced environment and possess a keen sense of urgency.
- Possess a high degree of initiative and self-motivation; able to complete assigned tasks with minimal direction; able to prioritize multiple tasks and work within tight deadlines.
