Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for agency services, activities and client contact on one or more accounts.
Broad Function:
Builds strong/lasting relationship with clients based on progress in achieving the client’s marketing objectives with efficiency that results in profit for the agency.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Internal
- Familiarity with and adherence to agency financial and operating procedures and policy
- Participates in the development of plan and strategy
- Approves all materials before client presentations/final production
- Understands and oversees records of client expenditures, time utilization, billing information, client contacts, conference reports, etc
- Manages client activities within allotted budget and hour allocation
- Keeps supervisor informed of and involved in client activities and problems
- Handles special projects as assigned
- External
- Develops in-depth expertise in clients’ business and markets
- Builds rapport and credibility with client, based on trust and expert counsel
- Participates in internal activities of clients
- Involves account team members in client contact to the extent of client needs and profitability
- Organizes and participates in client meetings and presentations
- Obtains client approval of all project and media production estimates
- Stays alert for opportunities to grow client business and billings
