Serves as an agency catalyst for implementing client’s eMarketing strategies and achieving tactical digital brand planning initiatives in the therapeutic categories and interactive communications environment to ensure the long-term stability of client’s brand. Under supervision, tactically engaged in day-to-day running of an account, shows strategic potential, and demonstrates a deep knowledge of client’s business and can follow direction of defined interactive initiatives.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work with Client team and provide account oversight to ensure that expectations and deliverables are being met for our pharmaceutical client’s interactive initiatives. Communicate directly with the client to manage needs and inquiries, resolve issues, obtain appropriate approvals and provide feedback to move projects forward with both external and internal team members within internal workflow parameters.
- Work with agency and client team in their eMarketing and digital brand planning to drive tactical programs to achieve the client’s business initiatives in support of all brand planning by reviewing the strategic plan and submitting it to the client for feedback and client approval. Works closely with other business units to execute client goals and initiatives.
- Assist in developing annual account plans under the supervision of Sr. level Account staff to achieve strategic and financial goals by providing clear, regular communication regarding client and project goals, prioritization, and success benchmarking.
- Prepare account financials for review to manage client needs and deliverables by engaging in all meetings pertaining to the project and maintaining consistent communication with the client and internal teams and reconciling with clients on any budget discrepancies in preparation of financial plans.
- Manage the financial well-being of the account to ensure that all projects are on budget by reviewing and managing all billing tickets and fees to assure accuracy of monthly agency billing and out-of pocket expenses and resource allocation and review quarterly reconciliations and forecasting and alert senior management as budgetary issues/concerns arise.
- Align and ensure that the necessary resource base has been assigned to a project by working with management team on internal resource allocation and alerting management team if additional resources are required.
- Provide pharmaceutical therapeutic and interactive expertise viewpoint to provide forward-thinking strategies and communication competitive advantages in the marketplace. Stays abreast of present, current and future clinical trends and the latest interactive, digital, technological best-in-class familiarity.
- Provide ongoing training/mentoring to junior team members by engaging them in processes, meetings and deliverables.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience
- Demonstrate 3-6 years experience in client service industry preferably in an advertising or marketing firm, including some mid-level/management position, preferably in interactive field
- Some pharmaceutical brand or clinical marketing communications a plus
- A knowledge of general pharmaceutical marketing, as well as disease state and product science, therapeutic market, and competition
- Experience in the development and delivery of Internet Marketing and Technology solutions
- Assist in leading and presenting effectively, build rapport among clients and internal constituents
- Mentoring experience including: team building, budget, client relationship, and marketing program management
- Demonstrable ability to manage multiple complex and diverse projects
- Strong writing, analytical and presentation skills are essential
- Enthusiasm for the interactive category and innovation
- Direct Marketing a plus
- Willingness to travel and stay overnight
