Responsibilities:
- Internal Job Responsibilities include:
- Manage product strategy and ensure tactical implementation relating to product strategy
- Provide short and long term execution direction for product
- Create new business along product lines
- Provide strategic direction and approvals at significant steps of the advertising creative process
- Provide strategic perspective on tactical POA recommendations and pieces prior to client submission
- Interact with all team members of agency product team to ensure accurate information exchange and smooth flow of product work
- Identify strengths and weaknesses of the account ,and make recommendations for change
- Manage account finances, including forecast and income generation
- Ensure that yearly reviews are performed for all team members
- Integrate all of the resources to offer the client a full marketing compliment
- Manage multiple products/account teams
- Work with director of client services and creative directors to ensure that account is staffed appropriately to meet client needs, including the provision of rationale for deviation in staff requirements and supporting information
- Communicate with senior management across all departments
- Ensure that vision is realized
- Encourage account teams to interact and consult with other account teams to share best practices and gain advice for crisis situations
- Lead in identifying and participate in agency new business initiatives as requested
- Coordinate discussion of POA report cards with clients and appropriate agency staff
- Provide account team with acquired resources when deemed appropriate
- Help troubleshoot various client-related situations
- Ensure that account team periodically travels in field with rep and attends POA meetings
- Keep on top of industry trends and ensure team members are informed as well
- Encourage account team to support team-building initiatives
- Client Related Responsibilities include:
- Build relationships with senior level product management of own account in addition to other Pfizer accounts, when appropriate
- Act as keeper of the strategic focus for the product as it relates to all marketing segments including PR, medical education, DTC, global markets
- Provide client team with new opportunities for the product that are not being explored such as disease awareness/PR programs, DTC, DTP, Internet, direct mail
- Provide leadership and support during crisis situations
- Bring any significant billing issues to the attention of executive managers
- Encourage account team support team-building initiatives
- Participate in all strategic client meetings
- Ensure that account team is trained appropriately regarding how to write contact reports, creative work plans, and strategic points-of-view
Qualifications:
- Strong management skills

- Strong conceptual skills
- Ability to lead a team
- Significant background in pharmaceutical advertising account management and/or working in product management, preferably 5 years healthcare experience
