Overview:
This position plans and buys media for a list of accounts.
Description of Duties:
- Interact with Account Managers to query information necessary to produce media objectives, strategies, tactics and rationale
- Demonstrate skills in leading the Account Management team in providing concise and complete information
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of time management and relation to Company profitability
- Meet and negotiate with media vendors to produce a targeted and efficient buy
- Relay all media to Account and Client teams
- Seek out the assistance of other team members when workload is heavy
- Periodically provides recommendations that are beyond what is anticipated, perhaps involving a new and different approach
- Share in responsibility of communicating accurate insert quantities, as required
- Promote the skills of the Company among clients and vendors so as to positively affect morale and new business opporunities
- Complete and organize work in a manner that enables other within the department to make determinations without the Media Planner/Buyer present
- Report to the Media Director on a project by project basis; the supervisor assuming responsibility for the project may approve; workload conflicts are to be managed by the Media Director
- Act as a gatekeeper of cash flow, anticipate and satisfy the needs of clients, while satidfying the needs of our client by giving priority to the needs of the Accounting team and Account Managers
