Description:
Our client is looking for a New Media Director who will be responsible for our Interactive Development group. The position’s general function comprises managing the day-to-day progress of Management of the development team (hire, fire, reviews, project allocation, coaching, teaching, professional dev, personal dev, personal problems, etc).
Responsibilities:
- Managing a team of developers: Operations and resource scheduling (resources allocation, scheduling, Negotiate and hire freelancers and vendors as needed).
- Translating business requirements into technical architecture and specification
- Instilling development processes, methodology and standards: set and enforce clear set of technical standards and procedures as to the development process, documentation, testing and maintenance.
- Sales Support: provide support for all sales professionals in brainstorming ideas and provide effort estimates for project development.
- Client Communications: be the point person for project technology issues internally and with clients.
- As part of the company’s management team contribute ideas and take initiative to improve company atmosphere, morale, strategic direction, and improvements and help make supernova a better company.
- Reports to the General Manager.
- 5+ years of experience in analysis, design, development, documentation & production support for applications using Web and Client Server technologies.
- Experience with Flash, Java and Open-source technologies
- Experience in the latest front end and back end technologies including Flash, AJAX, Wireless, Web Services
- Experience in client interaction and team leadership
- Excellent communication skills
