Description:
The President will shape and communicate our vision and strategy and will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our client’s services, consisting of our Account Management, Consumer Insights & Planning, Creative and Interactive functions. This position will guide the agency in maintaining and improving our competitive positioning and profitability through operational effectiveness and performance. He or she will actively lead the senior management team and department heads while also establishing and maintaining strategic and senior-level relationships with current and prospective clients. The President will monitor agency budgets, profitability measures and client-agency issues.
SCOPE:
Proactively lead integrated agency services and day-to-day operations of our experiential and promotional marketing agency. Guide and direct teams and staff on initiatives to grow revenue, organize business operations and improve effectiveness, service levels, efficiency, and profitability. Establish short and long term strategies, objectives and policies for our business in conjunction with functional leaders. Strengthen our product offerings, organically and/or through acquisition activities. Develop and implement strategies for operational management to reach goals set for organizational performance within budgetand timeframe. Partner at senior-most level(s) with current and prospective clients to solidify their confidence in investing their dollars with our client. Support all new business development efforts and pitches. Lead best practices with agency staff on client-agency relationship management and effective representation of the company with peers, vendors, customers and the community.
- Direct the development and implementation of procedures, controls and systems to promote effective communication, collaboration and information flow, and enhance and ensure management control and alignment of organizational actions to our stated goals.
- Grow the revenue of the agency’s integrated service offerings year-over-year while maximizing profitability by establishing appropriate metrics and a continuous review of performance against objectives.
- Monitor, measure and report on operational issues, opportunities, development plans and achievements to COO, and occasionally to management, as needed.
- Identify and manage all capital needs with COO.
- Partner with integrated agency departments to lead the evolution of the agency’s capabilities and process development to consistently improve customer service, quality and cost
- Champion effective communication, operational excellence and strengthen our Agency culture that nurtures continuous innovation and development:
- Identify, hire, train, motivate Agency talent and build leadership skills at all levels. Develop and maintain an organization of high-performing talent and implement an organizational structure which meets the needs of the corporation and fully positions it for growth
- Manage and control functional and overall P&L for integrated Agency services
- Liaise with other Agency offices/capabilities in order to understand needs for operational development
- Inform appropriate parties of our successes and capabilities, both internally and externally/li>
- Maintain an awareness and knowledge of contemporary operational development theories and methodology and provide suitable interpretation to directors, managers and staff within the organization
- Degree in Marketing or related field is required, MBA is strongly preferred
- 15 - 20 years of agency experience, with a minimum of 10 - 15 years of agency management experience is required, with demonstrated success managing cross-functional teams and staff at various levels; previous experience at a General Manager is strongly preferred
- A deep understanding of the media, advertising or marketing industries is mandatory, with a successful background in leading integrated services or functions
- Previous success developing teams in order to ensure financial success and operating efficiency
- Proven track record of success and accountability for the leadership of operation and functional units, and the achievement of quarterly and annual productivity plan objectives
- Past success in agency business development efforts is required
